FAQs

Who do you treat?

I work with children, adolescents, adults, parents, and new mothers. I specialize in treating Anxiety Disorders, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors (BFRB’s), Tourette’s, and co-occurring Depression, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).

I celebrate diversity and am committed to providing culturally competent and sensitive care to individuals of all backgrounds and identities.

Do you offer after school and evening appointments?

Yes.

How do I get started?

Reach out via email, the contact page, or phone indicating your availability and desired services.

If I believe I will be a good fit for you or your child’s needs, we will schedule a 15-minute complimentary phone call to further assess if I am a good match. If I am not, I will do my best to refer you to someone who may be a better match.

How long can I expect to be in therapy?

The length of time it takes to meet treatment goals depends on an individual’s unique circumstances, motivation, and commitment.

After the initial assessment phase of treatment, an estimate of treatment length can be provided.

Can I involve others in my treatment?

With your written consent, absolutely. I am happy to work as a team with family members, other medical providers, and teachers.

Do you provide in-person therapy?

At this time, all services are provided via telehealth.

Do you prescribe medication?

Although I cannot prescribe medication, I can offer recommendations for psychiatrists in the DC-Maryland-Virginia area and/or collaborate with your current medical providers.
